Overview

One partner, from raw casting to finished part.

As a vertically integrated machining components manufacturer, Chenab Engineering Works machines the iron and steel castings we pour in-house, delivering finished components to drawing without the cost and delay of shuttling work between separate suppliers. Casting, machining, and inspection sit under one roof, so dimensional accountability never changes hands.

Our CNC milling, CNC turning, and precision finishing capabilities convert raw cast, forged, and bar blanks into machined parts that hold tight tolerances for the agricultural, automotive, defence, and heavy machinery sectors. From a single prototype to repeat production runs, every component is verified before it leaves the floor.

Quality & Inspection

Precision you can measure

A machined component is only finished when it is proven. Every part is checked against its drawing using CMM and hand metrology, at first article and again in-process, so tolerances hold from the first piece to the last of the batch.

Because we cast and machine in the same facility, material traceability and dimensional records stay connected, and a full inspection report can be issued with your order.

  • CMM dimensional verification against drawing
  • First-article and in-process inspection
  • Micrometer, bore gauge, and height-gauge metrology
  • Material traceability from casting to finished part
  • Inspection report supplied on request

FAQs

Machining components manufacturer FAQs

Q1What does a machining components manufacturer do?
A machining components manufacturer produces finished metal parts by cutting raw material, such as castings, forgings, or bar stock, to a precise drawing using processes like CNC milling and CNC turning. At Chenab Engineering Works we cast, machine, and inspect components in-house, so a single supplier is accountable for the part from raw metal to finished, ready-to-fit component.
Q2What tolerances can you hold?
We work to ISO 2768-m as a general standard and can hold ±0.01 mm on critical features by agreement, with surface finishes from Ra 0.8 to 3.2 µm depending on the operation. Share your drawing and we will confirm the achievable tolerance for each feature.
Q3Do you machine your own castings?
Yes. We are a vertically integrated foundry and machine shop, so we machine the grey iron, ductile iron, and steel castings we pour ourselves, as well as customer-supplied blanks and bar stock. Keeping casting and machining together shortens lead times and keeps quality under one roof.
Q4What is the minimum order quantity?
We handle work from single prototypes and first articles through to repeat production batches. Pricing improves with volume, so let us know your expected quantities and schedule and we will quote accordingly.
Q5Which materials can you machine?
We machine grey iron, ductile iron, carbon steel, alloy steel, stainless steel, tool steel, aluminium, and brass or bronze. We can also machine parts after heat treatment where the application requires a hardened component.
Q6Do you provide inspection reports?
Components are checked with CMM and hand metrology during first-article and in-process inspection, and a dimensional report can be supplied with the order on request.
Q7Where are you located and do you export?
Our machine shop and foundry are based in Faisalabad, Pakistan. We supply manufacturers across Lahore, Karachi, and the wider region, and we export machined components to international customers.
